It is rewarding to bake bread in your own kitchen. The aroma fills the room with freshly baked deliciousness. A bread machine will simplify your bread making process, ensuring a consistently perfect loaf. This guide will show you how to use a bread maker to make a tasty dough, and then transform it into beautiful baked bread by using both a pullman and traditional baking pan.
Start with Step 1.
Many home bakers are now using bread machines. The bread machine automates mixing, rising, and kneading processes. This makes it much easier to get consistent results. This is a guide that will help you get started.
- 1 Cup Lukewarm Water
- 1/3 Cup Lukewarm Milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 & 3/4 Cup Bread Flour
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1 & 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Bread Machine Instant Yeast
In your bread machine, it can take up to 2 hours for the dough to finish. Please read the instructions for your specific bread machine.
Step 2: Preparing the Dough for Baking
Once the bread machine has completed its dough cycle, it's time to take your dough to the next level. Follow these steps to prepare the dough for baking in the oven:Step 3: Baking in the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (176.67°C) during the final rise. Once the dough has risen, it's time to bake your bread:For the Pullman Pan: Slide the lid onto the pullman pan and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until the bread reaches a golden-brown color.
For the Bread Baking Pan: Place the uncovered pan in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
Cooling: Allow the bread to cool in the pans for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Remove the Dough: Carefully take the dough out of the bread machine and place it on a lightly floured surface.
Shape the Dough: Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles. Shape it into a rectangle, then fold the sides in and roll it into a tight cylinder.
Grease the Pans: Grease both the pullman pan and the bread baking pan to prevent the bread from sticking.
Place in Pans: For the pullman pan, gently place the dough inside, ensuring it reaches all four corners. For the bread baking pan, shape the dough to fit the pan's dimensions
Final Rise: There are two ways you do this. Turn on your oven light and let the dough sit inside or cover the pans with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise for the final time until it doubles in size, usually for about 30-45 minutes.
Baking bread from scratch can be a therapeutic and fulfilling process, and a bread machine can simplify the process without compromising on the quality of the final product. With the right techniques and equipment, you can achieve a perfect loaf that will impress your family and friends.
